About the Chamber
The Johnson City Chamber of Commerce has as its mission “ to promote the membership and business interests of Johnson City, and enhance the well-being of commerce, industry, ranching, education, artistic & civic interest.” We believe that the legacy of our community continues and prosperity begins with the success of our local businesses. The Chamber strives to fulfill its mission by providing a variety of networking opportunities to build strong business relationships and community centric growth while continuing to develop visitor centric communications to promote tourism as a historical and cultural destination. With the historical nature of Johnson City, as the presidential hometown & boyhood home of Lyndon B Johnson, partnered with the ever-growing Texas Wine trail & local art community, Johnson City sits at the crossroads of the past & present. As a chamber we are committed to providing the tools, community relations, and support to our local businesses for growth and impact, as well as, provide the hospitality & resources needed to enhance the visitor experience.
The Chamber Directors meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Visitors Center starting at 5:30 pm.

Committees
All Committees will be formed for a specific purpose/goal and will be designated as Ad Hoc or Standing. The Chair of each Committee will be a Director chosen by the President of the Chamber, larger committees may have two Chairs as Co-Chairs. Committee members will be chosen from member applicants for said committees, with the Board voting on all member applicants for each committee. All Chamber members are encouraged to participate on Chamber committees. No one business industry within the CoC shall comprise a majority representation on any one Committee. A Committee will carry out their instructions as directed by the Board but has no power to commit the Chamber in any agreement unless the project has been approved by a majority vote of the Board.

All members in good standing are eligible to file for candidacy for the Chamber Board of Directors. You can file by completing the Director Application form above. Applications received by noon,
December 1st, will be included on the election ballot.
